WE SET THE INDUSTRY STANDARD - ASK FOR OUR CYCADS BY NAME

John and Marjory Lok have been involved in the horticultural industry since 1986, at first by producing an electronic tensiometer for irrigation management and since 1992 growing palms and cycads on a nursery of 1.4 hectares (4 acres) in Dargaville, Northland.

For the last fifteen years we have specialised in seed grown Cycas revoluta. We produce our own seeds from plants we have grown ourselves and have selected for superior form and performance.

Our plants are free from insects and have superior root development due to being seed grown and not grown from off-sets (pups).

We now also produce hybrids based on Cycas revoluta in an effort to provide other interesting leaf forms while retaining the strong characteristics of revoluta.

We also have over 50 species of mature palms in the ground available for transplanting to enhance your property or subdivision.

Amongst the species are Bismarckia nobilis, Brahea armata, Brahea edulis, Chamaerops humilis, Dypsis decipiens, Howea forsteriana (Kentia), Jubaea chilensis, Livistona australis, Livistona chinensis, Livistona decora, Livistona nitida, Phoenix reclinata, Phoenix roebelenii, Phoenix rupicola, Ravenea glauca and Ravenea rivularis.
